Gray Barrett

Gray Barrett is currently a data science leader with the U.S. government and principal researcher with the Political Terror Scale. Previously, Gray served as Deputy Chief Data Officer in the U.S. State Department's Bureau of Conflict & Stabilization Operations and as a Program Examiner in the White House Office of Management and Budget. He is an alumnus of the World Bank Government Analytics Fellowship and is a non-faculty affiliate at the University of Utah's Department of Political Science. Gray was a Fulbright Scholar to Norway, where he studied international human rights law and worked at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). He holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, an M.A. in Political Science from Emory University, and a certificate in Executive Leadership from Harvard Business School.
