Julia Franciotti is the South America Research Manager at ACLED and has been with the organization since October 2018. She oversees the data collection on political violence and protests in South America and is responsible for managing the team members. She holds an LLM in International Law from Leiden University. Her research interests include non-state armed groups, urban violence, and political disorder in Latin America and the Caribbean, leveraging geographic information systems and analyzing the spatial dynamics of armed conflict.
