Laleh Rahimi

Afghanistan Researcher

Laleh Rahimi is the Afghanistan Researcher at ACLED, having joined in April 2024. She monitors political violence and protest dynamics in Afghanistan, conducting data collection, coding, and analysis. Previously, she worked with the UN in Geneva and New York on disarmament and peacekeeping policy, and with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on regional security cooperation. She has also contributed to human rights research and legislative analysis at the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission. Laleh holds Master’s degrees in International Business and in International Relations and Diplomacy from the École des Hautes Études Internationales et Politiques, and a BA in Law and Political Science from Kabul University.
